6/8 SCST Meet Details
Hi Bolts! Our meet this Saturday, 6/8, will be an away meet at Spring Cypress Swim Team! Here are a few things to know about this meet. Please read all the way through, as some things have changed.
Pool Information
Spring Cypress Stingrays Competition Pool
14500 Longwood Bend, Cypress, TX
**Parking is only allowed along Louetta Road. No exceptions. See attached map.**
6-lane outdoor pool- 25 yards
All tents are set up outside the deck area on grass.
Ready bench set-up covered on deck
Computer/clerk set-up covered on deck
Electronic starter & stopwatches used for timing
Parking
Drop-off is available.
Parking is available on Louetta Rd. (See Parking Map)
Do not park on Longwood Bend.
The parking lot is reserved for coaches, concessions and computers.
Do not park within 15 feet of fire hydrants, 20 feet or a crosswalk or intersection, or within 30 feet of a stop sign - these are all standard Texas laws and subdivision requirements, and please observe speed limits.
Arrival Times
Volunteers for meet set-up and tent parents will need to be there by 6:45 am.
Swimmers please arrive by 7 am.
There will be a team meeting before warm-up at 7:30 am.
Morning relay changes are due at7:30 am to Clerk of Course.
Londonderry has second warm-up, and will begin warm-up at 7:45 am.
Officials meeting is at 8 am
Timing/scribe meeting poolside at 8:15 am
The meet will start promptly at 8:30 am.
Check-In
All swimmers will circle-in with the check-in volunteers. There will be separate lines for 10 & Unders and 11 & Ups. The volunteers will put lightning bolts on the swimmers' hands to show that they have checked in. After the 10 & Unders have circled in, they can go to their tent parent(s) to have their events they are swimming written on their arm.
Volunteers
Kari Crenshaw will not be at this meet. Volunteers please check-in with Nadine Hadley as soon as you arrive to get your name tag and get credit for your shift. She will be in a pink Board shirt, so she is easy to find! Set-up volunteers, check-in volunteers and tent parents need to arrive by 6:45 am. All other volunteers need to check-in by 7:30 am. There will be a timers' and scribes' meeting at 8:15 am by the pool.
There is still 2 Scribe positions remaining for Saturday. All families are required to fulfill 7 regular shifts + 1 divisional. This is the last weekend to fulfill regular shifts. Please sign-up here:

During the Meet
- Concessions - Cash or VENMO (SC Stingrays) transactions (no tickets)
Breakfast: available starting at 7:30 am
Chips, candy, sodas, water, Gatorade/Powerade available.
Don't pack a breakfast or lunch! SCST will be serving great meal items at their concession stand. See attached menu. - Relays - Relays can change after circle-in. 10 & U Parents please check with tent parents before you leave to see if there has been any changes to relays, as they may have been added after their events were written on their arm.
- Feedback from Coaches - Please have your swimmer(s) check-in with the coaches before each event they swim to get last minute tips and reminders. After your child swims each of their events, please have them get their time and speak to one of the coaches to get feedback.
- Sportsmanship - Please remind your swimmer(s) that they are representing the Bolts and to act accordingly. I love it when I see our swimmers giving the other team "high fives", shaking hands and simply saying "good job"! Our team has always been known to show good sportsmanship, and we want to maintain that reputation!
- Spectators - Please make sure you are watching your kids swim from the designated Spectator area. Please do not gather around the Coaches' tents, blocks, or ready benches.
- Photography - We love that you enjoy capturing your kiddos swimming in action. This year per NEW league rules we are NOT allowed to take pictures from behind the blocks of swimmers.
End of Meet
- End Time - Estimated end time is 2pm.
- Equipment Tear Down – Tent parents please help tear down your tent before you leave. We will have volunteers to help haul them away, but we need help collapsing the tents and folding the tarps. Your help is truly appreciated.
- Clean Up - As you pack up your gear, please look around your area and pick up all the trash. If you see someone dropping trash, please remind them to pick it up.
