Thunder Raines has performed a minor miracle and single handedly held the rain off by keeping an umbrella in my car the entire week. 

The forecast is showing the rain should off in the morning, and as of right now, the meet is on AS SCHEDULED!! If we need to delay or cancel, we will post in SportYou

If for whatever reason your swimmer(s) are unable to make the meet, please text Coach Jackie ASAP. This makes the scratch process less hectic in the morning.

Home Meet Details:

For the safety of both the residents and swimmers, parking is in designated areas only.

• Parking lot and Circle Drive are reserved for Coaches and Officials only. Must show badge. NO PARKING IN CIRCLE DRIVE OR COACHES/OFFICIALS reserved spots
• Parking along the fence side only on the street. Do not park on the side near the playground.
• Be respectful when parking along the street. Avoid parking near mailboxes, fire hydrants, stop signs, driveways, and crosswalks. Arrive early as parking goes fast!

Event details and Heat Sheets are now live on the SwimTopia app. You can keep track of all of your favorite swimmers in the app!

Check SwimTopia after the Team Meeting for any changes to relays.

Timeline of Events

6:50 AM - Tent Parents arrival
7:00 AM: Arrival. 10 and under check in with Tent Parents, 11 & up check in with coaches. Swimmers not checked in on time WILL BE SCRATCHED FROM RELAYS.
7:15 AM: Team Warm Ups
8:15 AM: Team Meeting
8:30 AM: Meet Start
2:00 PM: Estimated End

REMINDERS:

If your child is not sitting in the age group team tent, it is their/your responsibility to get them to their events. Tent parents are only responsible for the kids that are in the age group tents.

During the meet, please remember the official times are what get posted into SwimTopia, regardless of what the swimmer is told by the timers or what is displayed on the scoreboard. Computer verifiers are checking for any errors or discrepancies.

When your swimmer is done and you are leaving the meet, please do your part and pick up any trash that you see around. Thunder Raines loves a clean area, please help out.

Disqualifications

If your child is disqualified and they have questions, please have them talk to a coach. If a parent or swimmer feels the disqualification was made in error, they must take their concern to our NWAL Team Rep, Julie Crady, during the swim meet. Julie can usually be found in the clubhouse during the meets helping with computers. 

If the Coach or Team Rep agrees that their is a legitimate procedural or factual basis to question the call, they will formally approach the Meet Referee on the team's behalf at the meet. The official's call on the deck is final for the meet results. DQ's cannot be disputed after the meet. 

At no point should parents or swimmers approach meet officials to dispute a disqualification. Procedures must be followed in order to ensure proper dispute.

Food and Drink Options

In addition to our amazing chefs on the grill offering a variety of breakfast and lunch options, we will have our concession stand with tons of snacks.

Traveling Tom's Coffee is bringing all of our caffeine needs tomorrow morning as well. See if you can spot Thunder Raines enjoying a tub of coffee in the morning.

We will also have M and K Sno Cones on site delivering all of the best treats!

Photography

We love seeing our swimmers in action and getting photographs. Just a reminder that at no point should parents being taking photography from behind the starting block positions. This includes relays when racers are on both sides of the pool. Pictures from behind the blocks of swimmers IS NOT ALLOWED.

This is the final meet to qualify for Sprint Sizzler, so rest up and bring your very best tomorrow! After the meet, all swimmers who qualify and wish to participate in Sprint Sizzler must declare by midnight.
