Good Morning Bolts! 

The countdown is on to June 9th, Londonderry Lapathon 2026! New families, you are probably asking what is a Lapathon? The lapathon is our annual fundraiser and we have BIG goals this season! Incase you haven't noticed, our Bolts have been breaking records right and left this season! 

They have shocked the blocks and we are ready to memorialize those record breakers. Our goal this lapathon is to raise enough money to put up a record board by the pool.

We will have a silent auction and raffle at the Lapathon event, but the pledges our swimmers collect are so important to help us reach our goal. On the day of the Lapathon our Bolts will swim their hearts out. They will try and swim as many consecutive laps as they can. The people supporting our swimmers will pick a monetary amount to donate for each lap their Bolt swims. For example, your Bolt receives a pledge of $1.00 per lap and they swim 25 laps, they have earned a $25 donation from their sponsor! Don't want to do math, no worries, we will happily accept a flat amount. 

This year the swimmer who collects the most donations will win...drum roll please...a Ninja Slushi machine and a Bolt Stuffy! All pledges should be turned in by the end of your swimmer's designated practice time on Friday, June 12. Our lapathon coordinators will total the pledges, with winners announced at our end of year awards party.
